Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American model and actress, who is also a TV hostess as well as a comedian. When she was in 2012, Angelica Hale was just 4 years old, she fell ill with double pneumonia due to a severe strep pneumonia infective bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston put Angelica Hale on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. She suffered from multiple organ dysfunction, including failure of her kidneys. It was her new normal to have hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. After nearly 80 days in the hospital, from death to recovery she finally returned home, but her life forever changed. After one year and a half of dialysis, Angelica was ready for the most significant operation of her life-her kidney transplant. The kidney that would be donated to her came from her mother. Angelica together with her mom underwent successful kidney transplantation on September 13, 2013 at two incredible hospitals close to each other - Emory University Hospital & Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale's desire to become a superstar has never wavered.
