Mena Alexa Suvari was born on the 29th of September, 1979. She is a famous American fashion designer, model and actress. She started her modeling career in 1990. She soon shifted to acting after appearances as a guest on TV shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. The actress made her debut in film in the 1997 documentary Nowhere. Her performances in American Beauty - for which the actress was nominated to be awarded a BAFTA Award - and American Pie that earned more attention from the public as she stepped into more prominent roles. Her next appearance was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Then she appeared as the role of the title character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama from 2002 and the thriller film Trauma (2004) was the two films she has made her most recent appearances. The year 2004, she starred in HBO's series Six Feet Under. She was nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for 2005 in the category of Outstanding Ensemble. The filmography she starred in was Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, the version to The Garden of Eden and several other movies. Suvari is a modeling model for Lancome cosmetics and also print advertisements in the brand's Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured on numerous fashion magazines as well as blogs including Vogue. Suvari has been a loyal supporter and activist for the renowned African relief organization The African Medical and Research Foundation.
